The ELLIPAL Titan 2.0 signs every transaction offline. Data moves between the device and your phone as QR codes only — no WiFi, no Bluetooth, no NFC, no USB data connection.
What air-gapped means
Air-gapped means the device has no interface that could transfer data. There is no WiFi, no Bluetooth and no NFC, and the USB port charges the battery only — it carries no data.
Communication with the ELLIPAL app runs in two QR steps: scan the code shown by the app with the camera of the Titan, review the transaction on the display, approve it, then scan the signed response back with your phone. Your signature leaves the device as an image, not as a connection.
Your private key stays on the device
The private key is generated on the Titan 2.0, stored on it and used for signing on it. It is never transferred to your phone, to the app or to ELLIPAL.
It is protected by a secure element rated CC EAL5+.
Clear signing on a 4-inch display
The 4-inch IPS colour touchscreen shows the full receiving address, amount and fee before you approve. Nothing has to be confirmed blindly, and no shortened address has to be interpreted.
Metal-sealed body
The body is full metal and sealed. It cannot be opened without destroying it. If the device detects physical tampering, it erases its private data by itself.
Layered access protection
Access is protected by a PIN. You can add a passphrase and create a hidden wallet that only becomes visible with its own password. Up to ten accounts can be managed in parallel: five from seed phrases and five from imported private keys or keystore files.
Setup and recovery
During setup the device generates a 24-word seed phrase and shows it on its own screen only. Existing wallets can be imported with 12, 15, 18, 21 or 24 words.
If the device is lost, recover your wallet with the seed phrase on a new Titan 2.0 or on any other BIP39-compatible wallet. Backing up the seed phrase is your responsibility — ELLIPAL does not store it.
Supported coins and applications
Through the ELLIPAL app for Android and iOS the Titan 2.0 manages more than 10,000 tokens across over 45 blockchains, including BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, BNB, ADA and the stablecoins USDT, USDC and DAI. Layer 2 networks such as Arbitrum, Optimism, Base and Polygon are supported.
WalletConnect links the device to MetaMask and to decentralised applications. NFTs on Ethereum and Polygon can be signed as well.
Swap, staking and buy services inside the app are provided by independent third parties. ELLIPAL is a self-custody hardware wallet provider, does not custody funds, does not give investment advice and does not guarantee returns. Availability and terms depend on region, asset and provider.
Firmware updates without a connection
Firmware updates run offline as well: they are installed through the supplied security adapter and a microSD card. The device stays air-gapped throughout.
