The symptoms usually narrow it down well: if roughly a third of your hashrate suddenly disappears, one of the three hashboards has almost certainly failed. If the miner doesn't start at all (no LEDs, no fans), suspect the power supply. If the red FAULT LED stays on or the unit won't boot through, it's often the control board or its SD card. The kernel log in the web interface reveals the details — and if you're unsure, send us the symptom and we'll help narrow it down.

Often yes: a replacement hashboard or control board costs a fraction of a new miner, and an S9 or S19 doesn't lose performance from age — only from exactly these individual failures. Rule of thumb: if just one board or the PSU is affected, the swap almost always pays off; only when several components die at once does buying new become the better option.

Depending on the revision, the S19 series uses AMLogic or CV1835 (CVTek) control boards with different connector variants — compare the installed board before ordering, or ask us with your model. Both types run the Bitmain stock firmware as well as alternatives like Braiins OS.
