What is a Seedsigner?
The Seedsigner is an open-source Bitcoin signing device based on a Raspberry Pi Zero. It stores no data and has no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth – transactions are signed exclusively via QR codes.
Assembled or DIY?
You can get the Seedsigner pre-assembled with an Open Pill or Open Pill Mini case, or as a DIY kit with Raspberry Pi Zero, camera, display, case and screws. Assembly takes about 15 minutes.
Do I need to solder the DIY kit?
No soldering is required with the variant that has a pre-mounted pin header.
What are the QR code cards for?
The Seedsigner can display your seed phrase as a compact QR code. The QR code cards let you transfer that code onto a physical card as a seed backup.
