Fan Spoofers
Fan Spoofers for Bitcoin Miners
When you remove the loud stock fans from your miner and switch to external cooling with an inline fan, the miner detects a fan error and shuts down. A fan spoofer solves this: it connects to the mainboard in place of the stock fans and emulates the PWM signal of a running fan.
When do you need a spoofer?
You only need a fan spoofer if you completely remove the stock fans – i.e., when converting to external cooling with our external cooling fan shrouds. If you keep the stock fans installed and just attach a duct hose, no spoofer is needed.
Compatibility
Our spoofers fit Antminer S19, S21, and Whatsminer models. Make sure to select the right variant for your miner – connectors differ by manufacturer and model.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I remove the fans without a spoofer?
The miner detects the missing fan signal, reports an error, and shuts down for protection. The spoofer emulates that signal so the miner continues running normally.
Do I need one spoofer per fan?
It depends on the model. Our 4-in-1 spoofer emulates all four fan connections of an Antminer simultaneously with a single device.
